Role Overview:

The IVI Validation Engineer  is responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and compliance of in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) software through structured validation activities. This role supports vehicle release milestones by planning and executing software validation, managing issues, and collaborating with internal teams and external clients to maintain software reliability and readiness.


What You Will Be Doing:

  • Software Validation & Verification: Analyze requirements and change lists, develop test cases, and execute functional, integration, and performance validation across system modules and full-stack software.
  • Quality & Issue Management: Identify, register, track, and resolve software issues through internal and external channels, ensuring proper closure and compliance with issue management standards.
  • Test Strategy & Continuous Improvement: Establish and update validation plans, policies, and test cases in response to specification changes, investigations, or release needs.
  • Reporting & Communication: Consolidate validation results, analyze test outcomes, and publish structured reports aligned with release events and validation standards.
  • Post‑Release Monitoring: Monitor finalized software for potential risks, assess issue severity, and support decisions related to corrective actions or release constraints.
  • Client & Event Support: Support audits, joint validations, and field events, delivering clear status updates and timely responses to client and headquarters stakeholders.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
  • 2+ years of experience in software verification and validation
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and the software development lifecycle
  • Experience creating and executing software test strategies and test cases
  • Familiarity with international testing standards (ISO, IEC, IEEE 29119)
  • Knowledge of both black-box and white-box testing methodologies


Certifications:

  • ISTQB F/L (Preferred)
  • CSTS (Preferred)


Salary Range – $24.93 to $35.64 /hourly
