Senior Program/Project Manager – Automotive Enterprise Software Development
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Program and Project Manager to coordinate and manage global or regional enterprise software development initiatives for Hyundai Motor Group. This role focuses on delivering transformative solutions for employees, dealers, and consumers by leveraging cutting-edge technologies. Projects include collaboration with HQ in Korea or the North America Region, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional technical expertise, hands-on software development experience, and proven leadership in managing large-scale programs, including planning, execution, issue management, and stakeholder communication with Customer Business Units (CBUs).


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Program Leadership:
    • Direct and oversee multiple enterprise software development projects, ensuring strategic alignment with Hyundai Motor Group's business/IT goals.
    • Lead initiatives spanning solutions for employees, dealers, and consumers, emphasizing usability, performance, and security.
  2. Global and Regional Coordination:
    • Act as the primary liaison for projects initiated by HQ Korea or the North America Region.
    • Balance global priorities with regional and local needs to deliver successful outcomes.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations, to ensure program objectives are met.
  3. Technical Project Management:
    • Drive the planning, scope definition, resource allocation, and scheduling for enterprise software programs.
    • Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise software tailored to the automotive sector.
    • Evaluate technical architectures and solve complex software development challenges with cross-functional teams including HQ teams
  4. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
    • Collaborate with CBUs, HQ, and regional stakeholders to define requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
    • Provide detailed and transparent updates to internal and external stakeholders, including leadership teams, regarding project progress, risks, and outcomes.
    • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and reports.
  5. Issue and Risk Management:
    • Proactively identify and manage project risks, ensuring timely resolution of technical, logistical, or organizational challenges.
    • Establish and manage escalation paths for critical issues, minimizing impact on project timelines and deliverables.
    • Drive continuous improvement in project issue tracking and resolution processes.
  6. Automotive Industry Focus:
    • Ensure software solutions meet industry-specific requirements, including compliance with automotive standards and regulations.
    • Collaborate with user experience (UX) and design teams to deliver intuitive, user-friendly applications for employees, dealers, and consumers.
    • Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies in enterprise software development and automotive digital transformation.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in IT software development project management, particularly in enterprise software development.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development and architecture, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage global or regional projects with diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in the automotive industry or managing software solutions for employees, dealers, and consumers.
  • Familiarity with Korean business culture or experience collaborating with HQ in Korea.
  • Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master).
  • Proficiency in Korean or other languages is a plus but not required.
Work Environment:
  • Hybrid work environment with flexibility for travel to HQ Korea, regional offices, or dealer locations as required.
  • Collaboration across multiple time zones with international and regional teams.
