Essential Functions:
- Administer and maintain Active Directory (AD) infrastructure, including domain controllers, replication, group policies, organizational units (OUs), and user/group management.
- Create, modify, and delete user accounts, groups, shared drives, and organizational units in Active Directory. Manage permissions, access rights, and security group memberships.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for user and computer configurations across the organization.
- Manage Azure AD configuration, including security policies, SSO, application integration, account synchronization, and MFA
- Manage multiple O365 tenants, including migrations, account policies, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Teams, MPIP, and mobile device management.
- Implement and enforce security protocols for user authentication, access control, and password policies. Regularly audit AD permissions to ensure compliance with internal security standards.
- Perform regular health checks on Active Directory, identifying and resolving any performance or security issues. Ensure high availability and proper replication between domain controllers.
- Develop and maintain Active Directory backup and disaster recovery plans. Ensure regular system backups and conduct recovery tests to verify AD system integrity.
- Provide timely resolution for Active Directory-related incidents, including login failures, replication issues, and DNS problems. Investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Work closely with other IT teams (e.g., Networking, Systems, Security) to plan and implement solutions for various enterprise-level initiatives.
- Document AD processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Plan and execute Active Directory migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime.
- Administration and management of Windows Servers through full life cycle.
- Support and adhere to change management process.
- Perform scripting of administration tasks and reporting using PowerShell.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation describing the environment.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in IT, Computer Science, etc., or equivalent directly-related experience
- 7+ years of experience in large Enterprise environments with 1000+ user base and 500+ servers and critical Enterprise Applications instances.
- Strong understanding of overall IT Infrastructure concepts including data center, compute, storage, networking, security, identity, DR, HA, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory services, DNS, DHCP, SMB, Microsoft Exchange, and related technologies.
- Expert level PowerShell experience, creating and modifying custom scripts to report and perform bulk actions on AD objects, systems, and integrated technologies.
- Working experience with AD Federation Services (ADFS), Azure Active Directory, and other identity management and SSO solutions.
- Experience with hybrid environments (On-premises Active Directory and Azure AD).
- Experience with AD migration tools and best practices.
- Extensive administration of on-premises Active Directory including capture of FSMO roles and Forest/Domain level upgrades.
- Expert level technical knowledge and administration experience of Windows Server OS
- Working knowledge of Windows Server authentication methods and integration of 3rd party applications (ADFS, LDAP, SAML, OAUTH, Kerberos)
- Strong capabilities with MS Office/365 tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, etc.
- MCSA preferred
- MCSE preferred
