10624 – Sr. Business Process Analyst
Purpose:
We are seeking a Sr. Business Process Analyst to join our team in Costa Mesa, CA! The Sr. BPA is responsible for creating detailed requirements specifications for Connected Car development including new features and enhancements such as core platform and customer channels like web portal and mobile app. This includes coordinating with business, engineering and multiple stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and define product and system requirements, create a high-level system design, and interface specifications with the help of a Solution Architect. The Sr. BPA acts as a product owner for the Connected Car System. They collaborate with internal teams to help define test scenarios and act as Scrum master to manage development activities. The Sr. BPA evaluates business and system requirements, ensures technical feasibility and estimates development effort and implementation sequence.
Essential Functions:
- The BPA will work closely with project team members to perform the required tasks using a combination of solid business understanding, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent leadership and facilitation techniques.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand/evaluate business requirements and translate them to system requirements specifications that will serve as input for development.
- Work with multiple stakeholders to analyze requirements, clarify design dependencies, and support functional and non-functional requirements.
- Work with Sr. Software Engineers/development team/vendor technical team to develop impact analysis and high level design for product change requests.
- Create/update system interface (API and Protocol design) documentation. ##Understand end-to-end system architecture and be able to determine impact assessment for various system design options.
- Support the operations team's activities by reviewing test scenarios, clarifying product requirements, and supporting test execution activities.
- Support vendor development effort and required co-ordination. Identify production issues and risks as they relate to the Issue/Incident Management program, triage issues and take escalation actions as necessary.
- Perform project management for all tasks of project including estimating and tracking progress against baseline project plan and monitoring and controlling development activities to an overall enterprise plan.
- Manage and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Work with a wide variety of stakeholders including partners, suppliers, customers, and organizational entities to ensure timely delivery of high quality and cost effective solutions.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
- Escalate as needed to address business need when determined to be out of scope of position responsibility.
- Normally receives little instruction on day-to day work, general instructions on new assignments.

Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent preferred
- 5+ years of experience contributing to software development projects.
- 3+ years of experience as a System Analyst.
- 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager
- Experience handling complex technical projects in a multi-vendor project environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in performing in a System Analyst role for consumer facing products, preferably a system handling high volume transactions.
- Expertise in end-to-end requirements management process.
- Experience creating interaction diagrams, preferably UML.
- Ability to work with in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise interfacing with business stakeholders.
- Critical thinking: use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
- Business Acumen: understand how business works; maintain awareness of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.
Salary Range - $98,060 to $151,008
