Job Summary

The Private Cloud System Engineer is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and management of infrastructure systems supporting HAEA’s OpenStack-based private cloud platform. Reporting to the Cloud Platform Manager, this role covers critical tasks across server and storage infrastructure, hypervisors, system automation, and resource optimization within both cloud and data center environments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with Linux-based servers, virtualization technologies, and automation tools, along with a proactive mindset to troubleshoot and continuously improve platform performance.
This role offers opportunities to work on strategic infrastructure expansion projects and collaborate with global teams, including headquarters in Korea, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


Key Job Responsibilities
  • Operate and manage cloud platform portals and associated cloud products
  • Maintain and manage data center portal systems and rack space (colo) environments
  •  Monitor infrastructure systems including OpenStack, hypervisors, physical servers, and storage
  • Support system changes following formal change management processes
  • Troubleshoot and document system incidents and outages
  • Manage system capacity and allocate infrastructure resources efficiently
  • Prepare and execute change management plans for system configuration updates
  • Collaborate with internal teams and respond to customer system-related inquiries
  • Support infrastructure expansion projects including design and planning of new deployments
  • Collaborate with the Cloud Operations Center (MSP vendor) for day-to-day infrastructure operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience as a system engineer in enterprise or data center environments
  • Hands-on experience operating infrastructure components such as Linux servers, x86 hardware, and storage systems
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow in cloud system operations
  • Effective communication skills for working with global teams and customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM
  • Operational experience with OpenStack (plus) or Kubernetes (plus)
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent
  • Experience using open-source monitoring tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack
  • Knowledge of system health monitoring, performance tuning, and log analysis
