10591 – IVI Validation Supervisor

Purpose:

  • Lead s/w quality control projects by monitoring every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards.
  • Responsible for training and onboarding validation engineers to meet the engineering requirements needed for s/w validation.
  • Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness.
  • Establish validation plans and policies according to vehicle release and main event schedules and publish reports by integrating validation results according to issue management standards.
  • Support local client events (audits/joined validation etc.), while tracking and managing raised issues

Essential Functions:

SW Quality Control (Project Management) (60%)

  • Project Management - Establish quality control plan and validation plans for vehicle releases, regular map updates and other main event schedules.
  • Training and Managing Validation Engineers - Train and manage validation engineers by educating testing techniques, navigation s/w architectures, new specifications, new features and acquiring test environments.
  • Issue Management - Manage confirmation/registration/modification of issues collected through internal/external issue, VOC etc., while tracking issues in various ways including raising objections and pursuing validation for terminated issues until finalized and closed.
  • Publishing Quality Report - Collect and review test case analysis results and remaining issues for each event to publish reports according to validation management standards, and report status to clients (HATCI/NAQC).
  • Validation Advancement - Approve, review and manage test cases, quality standards and policies developed my validation engineers.

SW Verification & Validation (30%)

  • Perform validation for each navi modules (IS/RG/RP/TI/MD)
  • Perform validation on system incorporation/integration and performance
  • Perform integration validation through driving tests

Client Management (10%) Event Support

  • Provide field support for local events (audits/pre-audits/monitoring/joined validation etc.).
  • Deliver presentation on reports on internal validation.
  • Provide prompt, accurate response to client's requests to minimize company issues, and when an issue occurs, report to HQ with utmost specifics to not delay the investigation

Supervisor responsibilities:

  • Manage the schedules and outcomes of personnel and partner staff involved in evaluation tasks for each project.
  • Supervise the reporting of tasks and issues by personnel involved in each project, and work on solutions and negotiations with client companies.
  • Take responsibility for the performance against plans, evaluation results, and responses to customers for each schedule.
  • Ensure the quality of navigation software before final mass production.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with executives and managers at client companies (CBU).
  • Lead or attend meetings related to the project with HAE, client companies (CBU), and VOC customers in the absence of the Manager.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, industrial engineering, Geographic Information Science and Information Technology majors preferred
  • Supervising - people (5+), functions (technical, vendors and so on) and Prior supervisor experience (2+ years minimum)
  • At least 5 years of experience as SW Validation Engineer
  • Previous experience with or similar Vehicle OEM validation preferred.
  • Understanding of software architecture and software development process.
    • Able to test in International Standards (ISO, IEC, IEEE 29119) of unit.
    • Knowledge of process for Black and White box testing.

Certifications:
 

  • ISTQB F/L (Preferred)
  • CSTS (Preferred)

Salary range: $65, 950 to $94,300
