What will you be doing?
A Senior MES Technician provides superior Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to HAEA and its customers in support of the MES System. This involves monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting MES servers, programs, and equipment across the Automotive Manufacturing plant. Some emergency or collaborative support may be provided to other HAEA teams such as GGA, HelpDesk, Network, Security, and Infrastructure case by case. Senior MES Technicians will also collaborate with MES Management to help facilitate technician training, scheduling, and projects. Interaction with customers, IT engineers, and manufacturing members is needed throughout the day to address production needs regarding IT systems. 
 
  • MES System Monitoring & Support: Monitor MES and related systems, respond to support requests via phone, email, and radio, and perform regular checks and walkthroughs of MES hardware and applications.
  • Technical Troubleshooting & Collaboration: Assist network engineers and other IT staff in resolving issues, escalate problems as needed, and follow protocols for network troubleshooting and cable replacement.
  • Customer & Vendor Interaction: Provide daily IT support to manufacturing teams, open and manage tickets with external vendors, and ensure timely responses to MES service tickets.
  • Hardware Maintenance & Security: Reconfigure and replace MES-related devices (computers, scanners, printers), support system security policies, and perform preventive maintenance during holidays or shutdowns.
  • Work Environment & Flexibility: Operate in both control room and production floor settings, with flexibility to work overtime, holidays, and adapt to evolving responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
 
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent work experience; 4+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years in manufacturing and network troubleshooting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, web browsers, and phone systems; strong in computer hardware/software support and imaging/building systems.
  • Problem Solving: Skilled in logical thinking, issue analysis, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Able to clearly communicate IT needs/issues, follow instructions, and collaborate or lead within teams. Must be able to a work shift rotation.
  • Project & Customer Focus: Capable of organizing work, meeting deadlines, and maintaining positive interactions with internal/external customers.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA A+ preferred
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Related Certification is a plus.

Hourly Rate Range - $24.94 - $35.65
